pages 687-692 excersie 1

For James J. Kilpatrick it is conservative ,becuase it talks about the constitution and how it would be a bad thing to change things. Richard A. Epstein article was a liberal article. I think this becuase he is giving different open opiniouns about thing. A word he uses was "liberal" to make me think that. John F. Grim was a conservative. He gives alot of evidence to support that he does not want change. Paul Krugman is liberal because he does not like the way things are being runned right now and he is open to change.

Blogging in the Global Lunchroom

This section is about blogging. It talks how their is a difference in blogging and in journal wrtting or writting for a news paper. However most people don't know what is the difference between the two. Blogging is more informal, puts links to what you are writting about in all directions. Blogging is more like you are talking to your friends at lunch or something freely and talking about all different things. Writting for journals or news papers do not do that. They focus on a certain topic and follow that topic and stick to it. So therefore blogging is more loose and free, while journalism and newspaper writting is more to the point and straight edge.

What You Eat

The whole story is about how this father makes his son eat whatever he kills. This makes the son very mad and he ends up trying to get back at his father. The text is worried about how the son is going to get back at the father. I didn't really understand why the father would want his son to eat such gross things but it was very mean of him.

2.4 implications from observations

1) I think that if America got rid of it's side walk would be a bad and weird experience. Everyone uses sidewalks everyday so it would be awkward not having them. If there was not side walk them people who were walking would be force to walk on peoples lawn as cars past by. People would not like trespassing on their property.

5) This is so dumb ,because how can minors be serving time as an adult when they are not one. Kids that get in trouble as a minor should go to juvenile school where they can straight out their life. All kids mess up in their life and they should be able to get a second chance. All kids that commit a crime should get another chance to try and fix their life.

Queena Stovall's Work

I have noticed with alot of Queena Stovall's work is that she uses alot of oranges and browns. It seems as if she uses them to portray a more of a country setting. All of her pictures seemed to have some country feel. Also there seem to be a black person in most of her pictures. In the picture in I was looking at she spent more time on the details of aniamls than humans. I don't know why she choose to paint country settings with an african american in each picture.

page analysis

This speech is from our former president George W. Bush to the nation after 9/11 happened.
He is making this speech to let the people know in America what is happening, what is being done about, and it is a thank to everyone that helped out in anyway of gave their condolences. The main and significant parts of this speech was when George W. Bush told America that everything is being done to help people that need help after the attack ,and that the government is still fine and is still up and running. He repeats a lot in his speech that everything is being done to help people, this is what his main emphasis is in his speech. I would suggest to him to tell people what is being done to prevent another attack and how he is going about to catch theses terrorists. All in all these was a relieving and reassuring speech that helped Americans go on with their lives.
